The Oxford County Public Health Unit offers prenatal classes in Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, and Woodstock. Classes are availables as weekly sessions or one day classes. Topics covered included; changes in pregnancy, preterm labour, comfort measures during labour, postpartum adjustment, infant care, and infant safety. Oxford County Public Health supports and encourages mothers in their effort to breastfeed. Prenatal breastfeeding classes are held monthly. The Healthy Babies, Healthy Children program is a free, confidential and voluntary home visiting program for families in Oxford County with children up to 6 years of age. The team of public health nurses and parent support workers provide support and information on topics such as caring for a new baby, feeding and nutrition, growth and development, discipline, as well as many other issues. They can also refer you to other helpful community resources and agencies in your area. Call to register for the program.

Drop in to a Well Baby clinic at one of three locations in Oxford County. This is a free service for families. Partners and siblings are welcome too! Public health nurses weigh your baby and answer any health-related questions you have about infant feeding, baby care and post-partum adjustment. Professional breastfeeding support is also available. The Ontario Early Years Centres are a place for children up to the age of six and their parents and caregivers to take part in programs and activities together. The Ontario Early Years Centres also bring together in one location information about children's services and programs in the community. If you have questions about your child's development, or want to know how to get information or services for your child aged 0-6 in your area contact your local centre.

Village Mommy

VillageMommy.com is a free service with a mission to bring the supportive village feel back to modern motherhood. The service help moms find other moms within walking distance who have babies/kids the same age as them. Peer support is proven to help moms' mental health and even improves outcomes for babies!

Mental Health Services of Oxford County are available to all residents of Oxford County. The Ontario Health Insurance Plan and the Ontario Mental Health Act cover all services. Services are available to adults and families who may be feeling anxious, depressed, or stressed from lifestyle changes and relationships, as well as individuals with persistent mental health disorders.
